Yaadein

"bas ek bar wapas lautne ka man karta hai

Aaj har wo din jeene ko man karta hai.

kuch buri batein jo ab acchi lagti hain

kuch batein jo kal ki hi batein lagti hain.

abki baar class attend karne ka man karta hai

Dopahar ki class mein aakhein band karne ko man karta hai.

Doston ke room ki wo baatein yaad aati hai

exam ke time pe wo hasi mazak yaad aati hai,

college ke paas razakiya ki yaad aati hai

tab ki bekar lagne wali photos chehre pe hasi laati hai.

Ek aisi subah uthne ka mann karta hai

bas ek bar wapas lautne ka man karta hai.

bas ek bar aur

wapas lautne ka man karta hai."

FOSSmeet@MEC

Hi all!!
This is the banner for FOSSMeet@MEC being conducted at Model Engineering College on 25th of January 2009. I am one of the organizers of the event. Its being planned and conducted by a group of dedicated free software enthusiasts which includes Sarath Lakshman, the creator of Slynux and a contributor to Google Summer of Code 2008.

Its a one day event and there would be sessions by eminent speakers of FOSS,like Atul Chitnis of FOSS.in, Shreyas Srinivasan of Gnome foundation and Santhosh Thottingal, the project admin of Swanthanthra Malayalam Computing. Its gonna be great fun and a good learning experience.

The event is being conducted alongwith our annual South India level techno-managerial symposium Excel 2k9 from the 23rd of Jan to 25th. MEC has been using Linux and Free Software in its labs for over a decade and is very active in promoting the same among the student community. As a part of its various community service packages, the computer students of MEC have been conducting introductory workshops for school students, polytechnic students and for unemployed youth on topics like Linux, Web Designing, Animation, Image editing, advanced Linux programming, embedded systems, Internet usage etc for the last one year. The staff too are actively involved in reducing the digital divide.

Even though that is the case, this is the first time we are conducting an event of such a scale and format. The response from various eminent personalities in the world of Linux/Free software has been encouraging.Hoping to see all of you FOSS enthusiasts and hackers at MEC on the 25th..make haste and register online as seats are limited.

Linux all the way

Right from the start of college,I am hearing this word,Linux. There were different pronunciations provided for it ,according to some of the intellectual giants of the time.It all sounded so alien for a guy who had done some easy VB programming and the only challenging work ever done was using sql and pl/sql.

There was this utterly black screen on every computer used for our labs...with red spirals and the word 'Debian'...another word which I had to gulp.Had some intro from the pulis who had at least heard of these things before, and managed to start moving around directories. But still it was all in the dark.

Then came a chance...a golden one I would say....but for me it was just a chance to hear more about this stuff.I am talking about an install fest of Linux conducted by our seniors, only for us.Due to fear of ragging and other reasons, many people didn't enroll. But I and a few others did enroll for this.Actually my memory is a bit weak,so I don't remember which workshop was conducted first...we had 2 of them...I assume it was this one which was conducted first.

It was actually interesting when we were given the notes containing commands and we tried them. The theory sessions on commands,users,administration..yawn...I remember falling asleep. They even provided snacks ;).After this workshop I was fairly good with commands(duh...the basic ones) and was going around either trying them or demonstrating to the poor souls of my class who missed the chance.

Even after all this,I had never installed a distro myself at home,I was afraid of tinkering with the system(for the fear of losing my games..).I couldn't risk losing anything,so I never looked into any of those things..administration(in windows),hardware etc...at most,I installed and uninstalled games with good speed and accuracy :P

Then came this real 'Golden' chance,Mandriva Install Fest.Attractive posters were stuck around the college and limited number of seats were available. Also,at that time, all workshops were paid for...nearly Rs.30/- per workshop, and also admission was on First Come First Serve basis.I got enrolled for this too...this time a very few people enrolled. This is evident from the photos I have put up.

I must say, this was almost a turning point in my life.Mandriva linux...made out of Mandrake and Connectiva(more terms....) was being installed worldwide. We were given in-depth class on installation methods, including the BIOS settings, danger zone of partitioning, configurations and other settings. It was really interesting and superbly conducted by Cherian, our super super senior and his team.We were even allowed to install it on some pcs and were given lots of Mandriva goodies and cds.

And lo...I never had to look back.I started off with Mandriva...tinkered with it...and soon my needs and aspirations took me to the bigger world of Debian,Fedora and what not.Throughout my quest for knowledge, many of my seniors(Sony and Anirudh) and most importantly,my friends played an important role in my achievements. In two years of working(read as tinkering with) on Linux, and conducting classes for juniors and school students,I believe I have matured a lot, compared to the noob in the photo.

I cannot say that I have mastered Linux, but I surely have gained a holistic view of the entire concept of Linux and Free Software. But I surely have a long way to go,and in order to get a further detailed and deep understanding of Unix,I must keep learning and most importantly keep experimenting. My seniors and even juniors are a continuous source of motivation for me.

Today when I saw an old mail from the 2006 batch seniors who conducted the install fest,I really wish to thank them for helping to create such a strong foundation and instilling the passion in me.These are photos were uploaded by them on the Mandriva site. All these photos in good resolution can be found here Click Here!
That is the sole cause for this post....now don't think I am in a senti mood.I am actually looking forward to tear apart those things that I have been told about and try and search for the truth in it.Mr.Jay Jacob of the ILUG-Cochin had a point in saying that we should try and find the truth in everything.
Wonderful, now that is some food for thought....

Technical Accomplishment contd.

Finally came the last week of the project.Ours and few others were at the end of our project.Only few things here and there left.

It was hectic..everyone running around speaking Greek and bringing up topics from all technical fields.Hardware, networking, programming syntax, terminology, what not....!!!
Soon after the internal exams, the heat was on......

The Project centre was Abhay's hostel.Everyone calls him up for advices, solutions and guidelines. No wonder our project lie there, neglected. We too had some technical parts left.
But as our project was almost over,we didnt mind letting Abhay do the works for others too.

The last two days were the really tough ones.Deepak's group started their code learning job 1-2 days before presentation. And it was no simple project. It was a very lengthy stuff with lots of technologies and programming involved. It was the Anti-Phishing system.Srijith's team also had to get some laptops,so they too camped there.
With such a big crowd, naturally everyone was on the run.Scheduling laptops, pcs, net access and Abhay were main issues.
Also there were enough time to have fun, poke around other's projects, crack jokes, and even playing indoor cricket. It was full masti in there.

But as the day neared, everyone had issues to clear up.Fun and play stopped....everyone was busy with their own work, tempers on the rise.....watches and clocks ignored...getting the projects to run flawlessly and preparing to face the viva was the only goal in each person's mind. Some people revising concepts, doing final touch-ups on the codes, some doing the documentations, others practicing presentation stuff...all dedicated to surviving that one day.

Finally that day arrived. We were 4th group. The first group began with 2-3 hours long viva and lengthy presentation interrupted frequently by power-cuts.All of us were tensed at such harsh conditions. We frantically revised and prepared our part.Abhay was still busy with other groups' work as they seemed to have troubles managing such a huge project.

The nervous waiting continued till after lunch break. Our chance came at 3.30-4 pm I think. The initial presentation was quite good, with everyone putting in their contributions and explaining project features. While explaining though,HOD caught a specific test case that we had removed from code, but was still in document.Unknowingly Abhay agreed to show the case, but failed to and had to give excuses.

Later on,she called upon each member to explain the project as a whole, demonstrate it and explain in detail their contributions.I wasn't asked to modify code,or explain other's codes.I only needed to explain the Server side code, and connected parts were just mentioned.I dint have to demonstrate either, and so was let off quickly.James had some trouble recompiling modified code, which made us nervous. But it was only some minor issue. We survived!!!

Overall,it was a good performance by most groups.Projects were good, presentations also. When the marks were given later on,it was clear.Only a few groups who had issues with improper work divisions and report submissions had lost some marks.

Anyway that was a good experience,to work with many technologies, learn and hear about more and also to finish a work in a professional way with deadlines to meet. Will be back with more experiences and experiments with life...adios!!

Story of a technical accomplishment

Phew....finally that day came and it didn't bring much harm.I am talking about my Minor Project for our sixth semester.

I will not go into technical details of the project here,I may put them up on my tech blog.I am also trying to find a place to upload the already popular project somewhere on the internet.
OK...briefly speaking the project aims at using a Bluetooth enabled mobile phone for controlling media players running on a computer. The software works on all JSR-82 complaint phones(that majority of phones in the market, but didn't work on most of Motorola handsets).Hehe..while typing this...what comes to my mind is the god-knows-what kinda content that we used to make for documentation..twisting and talking about almost the same point.Initially it was tough, then we got used to it.

As I said early,I would like to keep the technical details for the other blog. The documentation's non-tech part would be similar to this blog,if I take out the personal references. For guys who are gonna start minor projects or are worried how documentation is done,I would like to say only this...know your project, learn the codes and as far as possible involve yourself with all parts/modules of the project. This gives you a far insight into the product perspective(another docu terminology of SRS fame).
Well now I think I should briefly explain how things happened so far in our college and how we fared and finally how the results were met.
To begin with,I had great faith in our project, because unlike most of our classmates, this was an idea my friend(Abhay the puli..) had really wanted(because he needed something to control media players while lying down).I had asked him to concentrate on other ideas also for choosing abstract, but most of them were either involved hardware or needed too much research and time. Finally we stuck to this plan,as while searching for ideas on the net,we came upon an umpteen number of similar projects.
Abhay being a java puli and mobile(especially bluetooth) fanatic quickly found out whether the expected bluetooth implementation is possible, while I was unable to understand much of it.I had taken up the media control part, where my imagination alone is enough and also Abhay's guidance.
We were happy when the abstract was accepted.Afterwards,we hit a rock bottom(as did most groups). We collected and downloaded pages, pdfs and references to Bluetooth and its implementation.Abhay was active with it most of the time..though not much coding took place.

It was by the beginning the stupid documentation process that we got serious with our project.SRS creation was something which needed detailed information the project.Me and Abhay started using del.icio.us and collected materials discussed it online or when we met.Quite a solid ideas was laid at that time and all four of us knew what finally it would be like.
Initial coding involved taking codes from existing open source codes and understanding them(only Abhay could do it).Soon Abhay and Sooraj learnt J2ME needed for the GUI and prepared it very early.By the midterm evaluation,we had GUI completed and we had bits and pieces of client Bluetooth. The evaluation went well and all members progressed alongwith the project.
Then started our search for proper server and how to use the JDIC functions for media control. Then came placements, leaving the project as it is.On the day after TCS,when Mindtree placement was going on,Abhay called and said..."Da,project over. Will show tomorrow".I was so stunned.
Anyway after that we had several fixes and add ons from then on,I learned my part of the code and then started training and fixing strategy of approach. The dirty documentation was what I did to learn the project perfectly, even the previously unknown parts.I designed those UML diagrams, algorithms and all kinda dialogues and sporty lines that make our project look like the next urgent need of the generation.

Rest contd in next post...this has become quite big.

yet another rotten egg (or tomato)

Data Comm....sigh
Gone with the wind.....
Worst exam I have ever written so far in all these years.DSA is the next worse.
In the latter I finished half hr ago and left coz i didnt know wat to write....such a bad condition, but gassed up all 5 questions...
With DC,time cheated me out of that ceremony as well...so i might consider it as the nails struck on the coffin....

DBMS ahead...will be back with more blogs..i have missed a few news coz of lack of time..will do it also...soon!!!

S5 almost over...trascending into S6

I have been thinking of updating my blog for such a long time. But either I lose the interest or never get apt topics to do it.Now it seems I post every two semester or so.

Anyway,at present I am having s5 university exams.Language Processors(CS501) and Software Engineering(CS502) over.Next one ahead is Microprocessor(CS503).I donno why I am wasting my time exactly at this point of time....
MuP(short of microprocessor) is not so easy as to ignore it completely. But let's just say,the wish to blog...just came back ..as with most things about me...not tied down by rules ....just instantaneously spontaneous.People around me are seriously studying at their homes.
The placement seasons are coming in 2 months maybe. Our placement cell has started its official work.We already had lots of class test and batch tests as mock for the real ones. This reintroduced the concepts of C language, some forgotten and unknown mathematical concepts and of course, a plethora of new words, usages etc.All these have increased my knowledge level.

As far as the test goes,I seem to be very weak in Aptitude section, which comprises maths and logic.I have try out lots of problems and learn few things if I have to clear cut offs in this section.Technical goes average for me.I do not take risks in answering even if there are slight doubts...in that manner I have saved many negatives as well as lost some marks.Verbal section is quite ok for me...I am learning while doing.

By the way,I have joined TIME(Triumphant Institute of Management Education) for Super Long Term Course for CAT 2008.It does take away my entire sunday, but anyway I dont have much chores on a sunday(read useful chores).

Though many of the maths classes are boring, the language and some other classes are really informative and helpful in many ways...like GD,Interviews...all these give a new viewpoint into various matters and helps us face the exam confidently.

Also,I am on a new rig now.It sports a dual core AMD Athlon AM2 4000+ processor,1 gig of RAM at whopping frequencies. Also attached are a 250 gb Seagate Hard Disk and a Sony DRU-190A dual layer supporting dvd-rw.The board is Asus m2n-mx SE.Cool na?
I am also retaining my old 120gb Samsung Hard disk ...so thats about 343 GB of space.

Life in MEC in when S4 started......

Ah....another new year and lo....there are tonnes of new things to be done and to learn...

Well....some one may have noticed that I speak negatively and confusingly nowadays...so I am now undergoing rigorous retraining to get back my old self...though I doubt the extent up to which it is possible.

The year's start was also marked by coming of s3 lab exams....so naturally I was in that tension. As these were held after a brief break after the theory exams,I had lost touch and worried about regaining touch.

For the ET lab ,that is what happened...I couldn't get the connection open in time ad my mind was unprepared and sadly too lazy to work...for which I paid dearly. The observation table itself needed modification to get approximate graph and anyone can understand the difference by checking table readings with those marked in graph. So I seriously doubt whether i get any marks there. The viva was utter fiasco in all terms...I was able to answer not more than 3-4 questions.I had usually feeling after that...the feeling of gross self-contempt and anger, which fuels my passion and will to defeat that 'dumb' me and outshine the shell of defeat that I adorn myself.

By the ECT lab time I had regained part of my confidence and rhythm and also electronics being easy to learn compared to electrical theory..I made good progress. And the lab went like a smooth glide with all teachers' support for which I am really grateful. The viva was kinda okay considering the fact that I messed up 1-2 questions and answered the rest properly.

Finally all weights and fears of S3 were set aside and time for a new beginning, new subjects, teacher etc.I was looking forward to S4 as it was beginning of computer based subjects...But part of what I received nearly shook me awake from a beautiful dream of easy s4.

First of all ALC(Automata and Language Computation).....I cannot find enough words to completely express my respect as well fear of this subject. The fact that Siraj sir,the veteran teacher of our college is taking it makes a lot of difference..which I have not exactly found out. Many parts of the subject gets approved by my mind by intuition and thoughts....and rest were needed to be pushed in.So I seriously doubt what I will do for exams. Also,Siraj sir is notoriously famous for his granting of internal marks.I fear for that as well.We enjoy maximum of his classes by trying to solve the problems in groups..

Then the subject PPL(Principles of Programming Language). It seems to be simple enough subject if we had a better teacher. It seems that our teacher Noora seems to be the only teacher for that subject. Her irritating questions supported by confusing style of teaching is the reason for that.In some of her classes I have felt that her teaching is comparable to the act of firing in the air...so random and unrelated to one another.Somehow I manage in her classes...I even had to cut a few ...for MACS programmes(which I will explain soon).

The rest of the subjects are quite fine(EM4,COR and DSA).COR is an active and new ideas for things that I know partially..so it is always interesting and thought provoking..I like Jaimon sir and his style of teaching.

I was in this situation that our Association, MACS had decided to conduct Linux classes for school students as well as for juniors. It was a big responsibility involving huge sums of money and good preparation for the things..So we were actively involved in its working...till the day class for school students was called off.
Then on a later date the class for juniors was fixed and we had 2-3 days for entire topic decision and everything related..ho those were the busiest times in peace time(wen there are no exams).

We got great T-shirts printed for ourselves...and I transported Nikil a.k.a "Kadi" to college in my scooter that morning also taking the XGL(the linux desktop effects stuff) videos in my pen drive. When we reached college and started setting up all things, nearly half of the things were not ready. The notes were not ready, and the other accessories required too were in same state.Gosh, everyone was working round the clock to make sure everything went on well.

After long hours of toil we got the tings ready and class started off with a great intro by Sony(Chairman,MACS).The everything went in order..till afternoon...we were enjoying and learning with the juniors...it was great fun..

Then came the time for my vi class after a long session by Anirudh.I was instructed to rush through as the juniors were used to vi.Also refreshment was distributed at that time...so most of them were busy chatting than listening to my class. My voice was not enough, being in the air-conditioned room from morning till noon.So in between my class I asked Cijo to explain few points and we escaped somehow. It was the worst part of he entire programme. Then after a class by Kadi and a quiz,we dispersed the juniors and enjoyed on the remaining food and drinks. We took lots of photos and videos and made maximum of fun at the occasion.

That day was important for two things..first this great class..then the first year results....I had survived the exams and came out all pass....with 75.4 %.As part of that celebration maybe Moosa,Ribu and Kadi took me to Maayaavi....which was nothing but a waste of precious 40 bucks and related food money.

So thats what this year has been like to me so far....I hope it gets better by my involvement into better actions and dictating few terms to myself.

Series II-Revelations about life

Hm...this is most probably the last thing I would be doing on the internet in 2006.The second series which concluded on Friday was a great disaster and gave many new insights in to my own level of performance and capacity.

I had thought better of my academic performance.I believed that after 10th I had learnt a lesson and studying would not be a big matter if I did it on the night before the exams. But once again I was rudely reminded that it was luxury enjoyed by the traditionally scoring('padipist') people of the world.

My lethargy was boosted by 2-3 projects which I had taken up for the college. The main cause was my indulgence in the portal project.I was over-enthusiastic and wasted the time meant for academic purposes on that stupid thing(actually i love it)...

I don't know what I did all these days skulking in front of that damned system either playing games,or holed up in some website or chatting. After hours of sitting in front of that contraption,I seemed to be always attracted to another one...TV.Hence my life was literally swallowed up by these 'smart machines'.

Whenever I think of the computer as a trouble my mind tells me 'You are meant to sit in front of this thing your entire life if you need to live'.That makes me forget the anger i had against this thing.

During this series I saw the return of old enemy,Mathematics.I had scored well in the first series so maybe i had lowered my defense. That led to me being caught me unawares.I have started planning my next move to prevent myself from being clean bowled or I would like to say neatly speared by this horrible subject.

Almost all my classmates are comfortable with maths or even experts in it.It is known that engineering students are generally good in maths with an exception of a few like me.

This time not only my preset jobs but also the KSEB cheated me out of my escape. The night before the DE/DMS exam was completely dark with the power failing form 8-10.30 the time when I ever mind to open books. To add to that,I had been with the system till 7.45 and then from 10.45 to 11.30.Hows it?I cannot blame the KSEB alone for that can I?With just an hour's study I could have converted DMS into another above 40 paper but finally I myself stuck the dagger into my heart by making it a below 25 paper.

Now we are going to have internal lab exams next week onwards. The once thing that I need for success apart form records and study...is my confidence and determination.I am half way through stocking i up and while doing that my entire visions of future unfolds before me.I drift into dreams about thing that I do in future and all the time my grit and determination is stock piling.

I am putting myself into mission mode from now on.Nothing can stop me once I have set my eyes on a goal.I will not perish without a fight.I will not let my dark side rule me.

Life is a battle and I am soldier who fights to win.

Birthday Blues

My birthday was yesterday, that is 10th Aug.I am posting things about yesterday and today as a day.

Many people knew my birthday was around just because I am very famous in Orkut(you know it don't you?).That day my first birthday wish came from Moosa(Srijith) by sms.At that time I was downloading a game. Then,Anil called me to wish, during breakfast.

While coming to college,no one knew it was my birthday, not even Manu and Luka(even though he heard it the day before). Then when the bus finally got crowded at Vytilla,Syama blasted the bomb by announcing it was my birthday. Then there was the ominous hue that usually follows a secret blown away!!!

After reaching college,I managed to reach class after being recognised by only Asha and Reshma. In the class some of them identified because i had told them and the rest remembered from Orkut. One by one people came and wished and asked for treat. Then Bonny came and someone told him it was my birthday ,but he didn't believe and he told me- "Kadi is keeping a card in his hand..is it because of that?"
It was a boring morning as I had finished all homeworks (I woke at 2am and did everything).

During the lunch break, just as I was about to leave class,Kadi came forward and in his usual loud belching voice called out;"Today is Vivek's birthday and we are gifting him this", and he handed over a card with 'Surprise' written on it.Everyone clapped and then they gave me birthday bumps.I went out to have lunch at 'Hotel.com'.Thats when I spotted Kadi ahead of me entering the hotel.I thought of escaping, then I decide that I need not worry,so I went to have lunch.Thats when the heavens opened up and the people were caught unawares.I saw Moosa and Manuraj coming in the rain holding some posters over them(funny sight it was...)
Then I persuaded Arun george of ECA to get me back to college in his umbrella(poor guy). After reaching college I came out to have lunch after rains stopped.

Then in the lab we had unexpected guests as the first batch students came to the electrical machines lab. After sometime we came to know that they had come to have the senate election. It was quite fun...the boys voted for Boby and Nikul as a majority(it was set up).The other candidates were Adeena and Nirmal.

Nirmal didn't want anyone to vote for him...so he received only 3 votes from the 88 ones.So the tight competition was between Nikul-Boby and Adeena-Boby teams. The former pair won at last.

Then in the lab..we had a bad day with the Bindu miss asking tough questions about our experiment..and we were not fully prepared. At the table,we could quite easily set up the circuit(I had to do it myself, with some support from Stan).Syama and Vinson were just standing aside looking at the circuit diagrams(no hard feelings...).
After connecting,Vinod sir came and made some wire tranfers and then asked Stan to test ....and when he did...the ICDP fuse got burnt. Then sir took up the elaborate task of reconnecting it and checking connections and telling us about the problem with the auto transformer.

Then everything went well and we did the second one too, with the help of Leena miss. Finally when book had to be corrected, my graph was adjusted and other things done..but i forgot to write result in the very first experiment...and i got A grade whereas the lazy people like Syama got A+.So I decided not to do the circuits anymore..let them do it..anyway they are getting the marks(I really get upset when hard work doesn't pay!!).

Then I made a mistake..............I left my precious MS991 calculator in the lab.I didn't notice it until I reached home.I got it back 3 weeks later(that was the second one I missed,I was worried!).After lab, when rains stopped I took Stan to Netsavvy to get a grape juice as treat..but grape was finished and Stan said he doesn't drink mango juice..so we went to Shamla..to have a soda lime. Then we returned to Netsavvy where Moosa ,Sandeep and Syama were waiting. They got mango juices and sat there chatting and drinking for some time, when Roopasree and Serene passed by.I invited them and offered a mango juice. They all had their fill and we were all about to leave when Neethu came by.I excused myself and then we went the college in the heavy rains,me and Sandeep in an umbrella..with Syama and Moosa in other. Then Syama,Moosa, and me kept the bags in already filled bus.

After coming home..i set out for the usual net programs.. till night 8.30 when I remember that I had ET assignment to do..then I quickly got the papers and started writing. But i felt sleepy by 10.30 and then kept alarm for 2am,and read Digit till 11.30(could have completed assignment by then that too in a beautiful way).I woke at 5am and started writing assignment and in between came to download 2 files of 95.8 mb each of WWI game from forumw.org 's links through Rapidshare.

I managed to finish majority of the assignment by breakfast time..and rushed to college..and after reaching there I found no one was willing to draw the infamous diesel engine power plant for me.Many people like me were doing the assignment. But I skulked back and so had to sit throughout lunch break to finish it.In the lunch break I gave treat to Emil and then Aravind and Cijo. After break, when Rajesh sir didn't come for sometime,I went to Netsavvy wth George and gave him his treat. Then we entered the lab,to check Google Adsense with Aneesh. Then he showed his home and navigated through some boring place in Wikimapia. He showed me the forums he had created and kept on bragging about the money had earned in Adsense(exactly $13.99 then,$14 now).

Then Melvin called Anil to tell that sir was coming and we rushed to class and entered the class late.I found that my place was taken and I had to take the front seat alone.Someone had misplaced my buks and I had no calculator..I thought I had it today. When I entered Rajesh sir was explaining something and asked a question to the class and was getting angry...and got some students to stand and answer...many didn't and he was angry that comp science students do not study anything. Then he asked me too for the answer and I managed to cook up something which I had heard last year from Syama. He was satisfied(phew...!!!) and explained more about transistors and other things...quite interesting class this sir makes of ECT...

Then we got out of the class and went to the bus and found seat. Then Sandeep came and told that ECT lab work was to be done for Monday and he gave me a rough record that Nikhil Thomas had given then..when I was in lab in ECT period.

I have that work to do for this weekend and my brother is coming..as usual I am expecting a bandwidth overflow..but this time he may also cause my old HDD to be replaced with a brand new 160 GB sataII HDD and old intel 845 motherboard replaced by a new 945 or 915 with change in processor and a dvd writer as well..

Well that for this week or maybe this month..Anyway this was the best birthday I had, because there is no one at home to celebrate.

And I became 18 this year.
